Biography

Formed in November 2009, Screaming Banshee are born with the purpose of playing a genre influenced by the masterminds of old school progressive and melodic death metal, like Death, Control Denied, Cynic, At the Gates, Atheist and many others.
The line-up is formed by Alessandro Iacobellis at vocals, David Folchitto at drums (already drummer for Stormlord), Max D.G. at bass, Luca Ficorella and Simone Ornati at guitars.

The band release its five tracks debut EP “The Chronicles” in October 2010, which immediately defined their style: a tight and aggressive Death Metal, with complex structures and full of melodic openings.

In 2011-2012 they promote the album with more than 30 shows on the Italian territory and not only, including the shows at Sabina Metal Fest, Axiis Metal Fest in France and Metal Crusade, sharing the stage with bands like Necrodeath, Rotting Christ, Subhuman, Hannes Grossmann and Killus.
In 2013 they sign with Casket Records and release “Descent”, recorded at 16th Cellar Studios by Stefano Morabito. The debut full-length features nine tracks where the progressive elements found further space, composing the band’s clear business card, of which is available a video clip online for “After the Nightfall”. In 2014 Max D.G. leave the band and Francesco Paolo Amoroso join as the new bassist.
